Document Research for Turkish Citizenship by Descent – Soylu Legal
Do you have ancestors who once lived in Turkey and later migrated to countries like Brazil, South Africa, Canada, Mexico, or the United States?
Depending on your family’s history and legal status, you may be eligible to apply for Turkish citizenship by descent (jus sanguinis / kan hakkı), as outlined in Turkish Nationality Law. This law allows the transmission of Turkish nationality to future generations based on bloodline.
How We Can Help
At Soylu Legal, we provide genealogical and legal document research services to support individuals preparing their application for Turkish citizenship through ancestry. Our role is to:
-
Help you locate and gather relevant historical records and civil registry documents from Turkey
-
Provide guidance on organizing required documentation (birth, marriage, death certificates, etc.)
-
Assist with certified translations and notarizations, if needed
-
Advise on the application steps as outlined by Turkish authorities
Please note: Soylu Legal is not a government agency and does not guarantee approval of citizenship. We support the document preparation process only. All applications are processed and evaluated by the General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs in Turkey.
